Our Belief

We, the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Ministries, believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that “he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him“. Hebrews 11:6.

Once believing we must repent of our sins, (stop going in that same direction and turn to Jesus Christ) and receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Act 2: 38.

After receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, we must walk as children of the Light. Walking in the image of Jesus Christ means, allow His spirit to walk or dwell in us. In the meanwhile, we are to crucify or get rid of our fleshly ways, minds, and thoughts.

“Therefore leaving the principles (elementary) of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection (maturity); not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God.” Hebrews 6:1.

Once we become the children of Light we must walk as children of the Light.

“21. If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus; 22. That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23. And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24. And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness“. Ephesians 4:21-24.

History

pastor and wife

Pastor Clyde Griffin Sr. and Mother Maggie Griffin have been married since June 30, 1972, and have eight children together. Their spiritual walk in Christ began under the leadership of Pastor Mel Smith Sr. and Mother Clary Smith, founder of Church of Jesus Christ Congregation. After the death of Pastor Elder Mel Smith Sr., they were later under the leadership of Bishop Elijah Smith Jr. and Mother Hazel Smith.

While under the leadership of Bishop Elijah Jr., Elder Clyde Griffin Sr. and Mother Maggie Griffin worked as an evangelist in Newport, AR for about five years with Elder Mel Smith Jr., his wife; Mother Stella Smith, and others.

Later Elder Clyde Griffin Sr., and his family moved to Sherwood AR. Knowing that God is most important, Elder Clyde Griffin Sr. and Mother Maggie Griffin searched for a church where their family could grow and establish a good spiritual foundation. This lead to their family attending a church in Jacksonville, AR, where he later became pastor.

While pastoring in Jacksonville, AR, He and Mother Maggie Griffin opened and operated Little Angels Nursery and Academy and Building a Better Life Mentor Organization to reach out to small children.

Until this day, they continue to minister in the community of Jacksonville AR and operate Building a Better Life Mentor Organization by reaching out to youths and adults through various activities such as handing out food commodities to the adults in need within the community.
